About Banglore & Karnataka :

Bangalore is the capital of the state of Karnataka in India. Located in the south eastern part of the state, Bangalore has a estimated population of 6.5million, making it India's third most populous city.
Though historical references predate AD 900 written history dates back to 1537 when Kempegowda built a mud fort and is considered the architect of modern Bangalore. During the British Raj, Bangalore developed as a centre for colonial rule in South India.
After India gained independence in 1947, Bangalore evolved into a manufacturing hub for public sector heavy industries. Particular mention must be made of aerospace, tele-communication, machine tools, heavy equipment and defence.

With the liberalization of the Indian economy Bangalore powered the information technology boom to earn the sobriquet of the 'Silicon Valley of India'. It promises to do the same with bio-technology. It is home to many prestigious professional and research institutions.
However, as a rapidly growing metropolis we battle our share of developmental issues of which traffic congestion receives top priority.
Steeped in history Karnataka boasts a rich heritage of art and architecture. It is famous for its silks, sandalwood, spices and handicrafts. Here the traditional and the modern merge seamlessly.

Welcome to the cool and salubrious climate of Bangalore in November!
